In December 1989, Portals sold Talbot along with virtually every other PWT company to Thames Water PLC and in 1994 Thames formed T M Products and moved Talbot and another Thames company - Portacel, under its administration.

In 1998, in-line with the company's policy of development and growth, T M Products acquired the well established supplier of large diameter metal fittings, Underpressure Engineering and integrated UPE's high quality products with those of Talbot, enabling customers to purchase virtually every mechanical pipeline fitting from one source. At the same time UPE's sister company, Stokes Coating (SCL) was purchased and also merged within Talbot. The SCL range of Fasteners and Flange Gaskets Sets complementing both the UPE and Talbot Mains Connections.

I n 2001 Talbot was acquired by Tyco Waterworks and was integrated into the Tyco Flow Control (Tyco Waterworks) division. With this new ownership and the drive and direction offered by Tyco Waterworks the strengths and excellent reputation already established by Talbot is set to develop even further.

In addition, the combination of Talbot and UPE with the other brands within Tyco Waterworks, Atplas, EBCO, Samuel Booth, Tyco Waterworks Valves and CIS, means that Tyco Waterworks can now supply an almost unrivaled range of products to satisfy virtually any need related to the supply infrastructure. A range that covers such diverse products as large diameter couplings and flange adaptors, A full range of large and small diameter Valves from a variety of suppliers such as Belgicast and Laya as well as an unrivaled range of service fittings and a broad range of boundary boxes, manifold systems and chamber systems.
